Application Consideration and Retention
For the purpose of this policy, an Applicant is an individual who submits a resume or completed employment application to the Director of Human Resources at DSHA. Please note that resumes are considered applications, but a completed employment application form may also be required before being interviewed and/or hired by DSHA.
Resumes and applications are divided into two categories: solicited and unsolicited. Solicited resumes and applications are those received in response to a specific vacancy posted by DSHA. Unsolicited resumes and applications are those which are sent for employment in general and are not sent in response to a specific posted vacancy.
Both solicited and unsolicited resumes and applications are accepted. Solicited resumes will be considered for the relevant vacancy and retained for one year after the position vacancy is closed. Unsolicited resumes will be retained for one year from the date received by the Director of Human Resources.
