The DSHA Parent Athletic Association (PAA) provides both financial and moral support toward maintaining and improving DSHA athletics. PAA-funded projects include the athletic trainer, strength and conditioning coach, team warm-ups, coaches’ clinics, equipment requests and other items requested by coaches. These are available to all girls who participate in athletics – on every team, at every level.
Since 1993, the PAA has sponsored the Annual Dasher Golf Outing Dinner and Auction, the only major fundraiser for DSHA athletics. With over 60% of DSHA students participating in athletics, the PAA Golf Outing provides much-needed funding that sustains our girls as they develop their skills on one of 31 teams fielded in 13 different sports.
Held at a number of different country clubs over the past 18 years, the Dasher Golf Outing has most recently found a home at Brynwood Country Club (2007-09), Mequon Country Club (2004-06 and 2010) and now at North Shore Country Club (2011 and 2012).
The Golf Outing offers up to 144 golfers a full day of activities, including lunch, an 18-hole tournament, contests, cocktails, dinner and auction. Non-golfers are welcome to join the fun for dinner and the auction at a reduced price. In 2011, over 200 people attended the dinner and auction. That year’s outing raised a record high $65,000 in support of DSHA athletics.
In addition to participation, the outing offers advertising and sponsorship opportunities to businesses and individuals at a variety of financial levels, including hole and tee sponsorships, named underwriting and auction item donation.
